The station area stretches alongside the Canal through Walcheren. The city hall and the water authority Scheldestromen have treir offices here. The area is situated near the railway station and is within walking distance of the historic city center.
Office park Veldzigt is situated near the major entry route to the city center, the Schroeweg road. There are six representative office buildings at this point, only two more lots are planned to come for sale the coming years. About 4,5000 m² is available to be develloped into office space.

Middelburg lies adjacent to the A58 motorway and the provincial road N57 in the direction of Noord-Beveland and Schouwen-Duiveland. The city is intersected by the Kanaal door Walcheren (Channel through Walcheren) which provides a good connection between the Veerse Meer on the one and the Westerschelde on the other side.
Middelburg is the seat of regional and local authorities. Furthermore, it is the operational base of service companies and a place where many companies have their main office. Middelburg has the third-largest variety in shops in the Netherlands. In addition, there are hotels, cafés and restaurants, attractions and events. Furthermore, it is the home base of Zeeland’s sole university: University College Roosevelt.
