Noord-Beveland: facts and figures
The rural municipality of Noord-Beveland consists of six villages. Noord-Beveland’s coast is fifty kilometres long, which equals the coast length of the whole of Belgium. The coast runs partly along the Veerse Meer and partly along the Oosterschelde National Park.

On the north side, the island is connected with Schouwen-Duiveland by the Zeelandbrug (Zeeland Bridge) and the Oosterscheldekering (Oosterschelde Barrier); on the south side it is connected with Zuid-Beveland and Walcheren via the Zandkreekdam and the Veersedam respectively.
The catering industry and agriculture are relatively large sectors on Noord-Beveland. However, large companies are also established there, such as Roompot, one of the largest providers of camping and bungalow holidays in the Netherlands and abroad. Noord-Beveland is also the home base of Zeelandnet and the innovative fish processing company and razor clam exporter Seafarm.
